Tired of all the different apps you need to control your smart home? Are they missing features you’d like to see such as schedules, geofencing or Today Screen access?

Then Home Remote is for you. With native support for Milight, LimitlessLED, EasyBulb, LIFX, Belkin WeMo, Indigo, along with URL calls and TCP/UDP packets, there isn’t much that Home Remote can’t control.

You can add attributes to any action, such as location triggering with beacons or geofences, schedules, even voice recognition.

Home Remote - Great for any smart home with Home Automation.

Pros and cons of Home Remote app for iPhone and iPad

Home Remote app good for

Great tool for home automation! Best working geofencing implementation Ive seen. Very good app. Love the features - 3D Touch, beacons, schedules, many custom actions and Apple Watch! Excellent. It took me a while to find this, but so glad I came across it!
So many options available. Great app they pretty much thought of everything.
And it works very well. Took a small but of learning to get it set up but it does what I need it to do.
Hi good app but... Timers ? Colors? Dimmable ? More options please... And one bug i know the milight udp hex code send 3 times the packet in 100ms but you must send the packez 2-3 times more because by default The packet every now and then lost. therefore they have to send it more often ....in my windows app I send the code (send udp) 3 times in the distance of 180 ms at a push of a button then it is guaranteed that the packet arrives... Also great job hope more updates soon
Would be cool if there were a couple of options to customize the widget in terms of button size, shape, color, position etc... Despite that, it does what its supposed to do and is a cool way to control home automation systems without prior unlocking the phone and launching an app.
Very cool and useful app - perfect and really fast support :-)

Some bad moments

App is now giving me the error "The data couldnt be read because it isnt in the correct format". Tried creating new action and get the same error. Maybe works for others but useless to me.
I purchased this app to control my line of Belkin WeMo products. I have 14 LED bulbs, 1 insight switch, 1 outlet switch, 1 light switch, & 1 motion detector. I knew this app wouldnt work with the motion detector, but I wanted to give it a shot to control my bulbs & switches. This app seemed like the perfect solution since its available for my iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Apple Watch, MacBook Pro & iMac. It also offers Siri support if you have a Mac that you can leave on and connected to the network. Sadly I was never able to get any of this to work. It immediately became clear this app wasnt playing along very well with the WeMo hardware. I was able to add my WeMo Insight switch, outlet switch, and light switch without any problems. The LED bulbs were a whole other issue though. It only showed me the name of my kitchen light, then repeated that 13 times. I am only ever able to add one bulb. Ive tried reinstalling the app on my iPad & iPhone 6s, reset my entire WeMo system (including WeMo Link) to no avail. Nothing seems to work. I reached out to the developer who said he could test with some WeMo emulators and could submit a fix within a few weeks. That was over two months ago and still no fix. In all fairness, he offered to refund me, but I thought a fix was coming. I would also like people to know that this app doesnt seem to work well with WeMo devices, so dont waste your money (for now). I dont know how reliable the developer expects it to be when he isnt testing with real hardware devices, and instead using software emulators. Ill update this review if any improvements are made.
Im using this with Indigo which is an OSX automation system that works with Insteon and Zwave devices. With Indigo you can have commands that are triggered with an http request. This app lets me assign buttons to these urls and they are accessible on the today screen. You can even designate whether your phone needs to be unlocked. Fantastic.
Im running home seer and have been looking far and wide for something to put custom http commands as buttons in the Notification Center. Also using a pebble and looking forward to seeing that app develop. One bug noticed with this version is that it cant process http calls with spaces which some my my events and devices had in their names.
This is a great solution to controlling Mylights or Limmitlessled. I downloaded this app and needed some assistance, with Garys help I was able to figure out that sometimes the control box doesnt show in your client list. Resetting the router worked, I didnt set a static IP at the time. When your router assigned IPs they can change on priority, hence your IP for you router then for this app will change at times. My suggestion is to set a static Ip when you set up this app. If you havent set a static IP,, I would suggest it.. Great app.
This is by far one of the best home automation control apps on the App Store. Setup is super simple and will have you controlling devices from your Notification Center within minutes! Email support is absolutely outstanding and developers are great at listening to feedback. Have an idea? Send a feature request and youll receive a response! This has replaced at least 5 other home automation apps because of the easy button to URL. Now I have only one very low powered hub sitting in the corner waiting for requests. It also directly controls all of my lighting zones with the LimitlessLED / MiLight bulbs. Definitely recommend this app! 5/5
